GangwayBeatz Vol. 5

Im Jahr 2008 kam das erste Album aus der Reihe GangwayBeatz raus. Knapp 13 Jahre später kommen wir nun mit dem fünften an den Start. Die Produktion dieses Projekts stellte uns aufgrund der Pandemie vor große Herausforderungen. So mussten wir die Studioproduktion unterbrechen und eine relativ große Pause einlegen. Jedoch waren wir in der Lage das Projekt in den Sommer Monaten fortzusetzen, so dass wir jetzt endlich die Ergebnisse präsentieren können.

Im diesjährigen Projekt haben wir insgesamt drei Videos gedreht. Das erste kommt von Luga & Simmens. Der Track heißt „ So oder so“ und die Video Premiere kommt zu Halloween, am 31. Oktober um 0:00 Uhr auf YouTube https://youtu.be/ZfOkdvhf3Ds

Hintergrund zum Projekt:

Wir machen bedarfsorientierte Straßen Sozialarbeit und greifen die Interessen der Jugendlichen auf. Verschiedene Elemente der Hip-Hop Kultur, insbesondere Rap, spielen hier nach wir vor eine sehr große Rolle. Dabei geht es weder um Zensur, noch darum Jugendlichen zu sagen was oder wie sie schreiben sollen. Ganz im Gegenteil, Ziel ist es Jugendlichen eine Möglichkeit zu geben ihre Lebenswelten abzubilden. Die Themen sind frei Ihnen überlassen, genauso wie die Art und Weise wie sie die Geschichten erzählen wollen. Der einzige Aufhänger für das Projekt war und ist, dass Jugendliche echte Zeilen schreiben. Geschichten die wahr sind… Der Rest ist Ihnen überlassen. Wir haben nichts gegen Themen die anecken oder Sprache die roh ist, so lange die Lyrics real sind und die Zeilen aus dem Herzen kommen. Denn es gibt schon genug Projekte, in denen Texte zensiert werden und Jugendliche Rappen dürfen, solange sie ja nicht darüber reden was ihnen wichtig ist.

Das Album GangwayBeatz vol. 5 erscheint am 7. Januar 2022!

In 2008 the first album from the GangwayBeatz series came out. Almost 13 years later, we are releasing the fifth. The production of this project presented us with great challenges due to the pandemic. We had to interrupt the studio production and take a relatively long break. However, we were able to continue the project this summer and we can finally present the results.

Project Background:

We do needs-oriented street social work and pick up on the interests of young people. Various elements of hip-hop culture, especially rap, still play a very important role here. The project is neither about censorship, nor about telling young people what or how they should write. On the contrary, the aim is to give young people the opportunity to depict their lives. The topics are up to them, as well as the way they want to tell their stories. The challenge for the project was and is for young people to spit the real. Stories that are true… The rest is up to them. We don’t mind topics that offend or language that is raw, as long as the lyrics are real and the rhymes come from the heart. Because there are already plenty of projects which censore and where young people are allowed to rap, as long as they do not talk about what is really important to them.
