CyberCypher NYC/Berlin

Corona hat unsere internationalen Projekte für das ganze Jahr 2020 auf Eis gelegt. Anstatt zu kapitulieren, starten wir zum Jahresende ein Projekt das Jugendliche aus Berlin und NYC virtuell zusammen bringt. Auf Zoom und anderen Plattformen lernen sie sich kennen, tauschen sich über Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede ihrer Lebenswelten in Queens, Kreuzberg, Brooklyn und Tiergarten aus. Ergebnisse fließen in künstlerische Produkte die sie gemeinsam entwickeln und in ihren Kiezen, Wohnzimmern oder wo immer es möglich sein wird umsetzen. Anfang des kommenden Jahres werden sie ihre Ergebnisse auf einer von ihnen ausgesuchten virtuellen Plattform einem eigeladenen Publikum online vorstellen. CyberCypher NYC/Berlin ist ein Projekt von Gangway e.V. und dem HipHopReEducation Project. Es wird gefördert durch den Paritätischen Wohlfahrtsverband und dem Goethe Institut NYC. Corona has put our international projects on ice for the entire year 2020. Instead of surrendering, we are beginning a project towards the end of the year that will virtually bring young people from Berlin and NYC together. On Zoom and other platforms they get to know each other, exchange ideas about similarities and differences in regards to their particular experiences in Queens, Kreuzberg, Brooklyn and Tiergarten. The results will flow into artistic products which they develop and implement together…in their neighborhoods, living rooms or wherever possible. Early next year they will present their results to an invited audience. Online and on a virtual platform of their choice.
