BronxBerlinConnection in Berlin…It was amazing!

Die “BronxBerlin Connection” ist eine faszinierende Kooperation zwischen einer Gruppe junger Künstlerinnen und Künstler aus Berlin und NYC. In den vergangenen zehn Tagen haben sie sich in Berlin versammelt, um gemeinsam Musik zu machen, Auftritte zu bestreiten und sich auf ein aufregendes Projekt in New York City vorzubereiten. Das Highlight dieses Zusammenkommens wird das große Konzert im deutschen Konsulat in NYC am 16. November sein.

Die Ankunft und das Zusammentreffen

Die Berliner Künstlerinnen und Künstler landeten in Berlin und wurden dort von Gastgeber*innen herzlich begrüßt. Die ersten Tage dienten dem gegenseitigen Kennenlernen und dem Erforschen der kreativen Synergien zwischen den beiden Gruppen. Sie begannen mit Jamsessions und Ideensammlungen für ihre gemeinsamen Projekte.

Musikaufnahmen und Proben

Mit dem Kreativ Space F16 als ihrem Hauptquartier begannen die beiden Gruppen, ihre Ideen in die Tat umzusetzen. Sie nahmen neue Songs auf, remixten vorhandene Stücke und experimentierten mit verschiedenen Musikstilen und Klangtexturen. Es war inspirierend zu sehen, wie die beiden Gruppen ihre kulturellen Hintergründe in die Musik einfließen ließen, was zu einer faszinierenden Fusion von Klängen führte.

Live-Auftritte und Proben

Zwischen den intensiven Proben und Aufnahmesessions fanden einige Live-Auftritte in Berlin statt. Die BronxBerlinConnection trat in diversen Clubs auf, um ihre Musik einem begeisterten Publikum zu präsentieren. Diese Auftritte dienten nicht nur als Generalproben für die bald kommenden Konzerte in New York, sondern gaben den Künstler*innen auch die Möglichkeit, sich vor einem Live-Publikum auszuleben und Feedback zu sammeln.

Vorbereitung auf New York und Vorfreude

Am letzten Tag in Berlin wurde der Fokus auf die Feinabstimmung des Programms für die Konzerte in NYC gelegt. Die Vorfreude auf die bald bevorstehende reunion in NYC ist groß.

Die BronxBerlin Connection ist ein gutes Beispiel dafür, wie die Kunst Grenzen überwinden und Menschen aus verschiedenen Teilen der Welt zusammenbringen kann. Wir freuen uns sehr darauf was sich im bevorstehenden NYC Teil des Projekts alles entwickeln wird…

The “BronxBerlinConnection” is a fascinating collaboration between a group of young artists from Berlin and NYC. Over the past ten days they have gathered in Berlin to make music together, perform and prepare for an exciting project in New York City. The highlight of this coming together will be the big concert at the German Consulate in NYC on November 16.

The arrival and the coming together

The Berlin artists landed in Berlin and were warmly welcomed by their hosts*. The first days were spent getting to know each other and exploring the creative synergies between the two groups. They began with jam sessions and brainstorming for their joint projects.

Music recording and rehearsals

With the creativ space F16 as their headquarters, the two groups began to put their ideas into action. They recorded new songs, remixed existing tracks, and experimented with different musical styles and sound textures. It was inspiring to see how the two groups incorporated their cultural backgrounds into the music, resulting in a fascinating fusion of sounds.

Live performances and rehearsals

In between the intensive rehearsals and recording sessions, several live performances took place in Berlin. The BronxBerlinConnection performed in various clubs to present their music to an enthusiastic audience. These performances not only served as dress rehearsals for the upcoming concerts in New York, but also gave the artists a chance to express themselves in front of a live audience and gather feedback.

Preparation for New York and anticipation

On the last day in Berlin, the focus was on fine-tuning the program for the NYC concerts. There is a lot of anticipation for the soon to come reunion in the Big Apple.

The BronxBerlinConnection is a good example of how art can cross borders and bring people from different parts of the world together. We are very much looking forward to what will unfold in the upcoming NYC part of the project….
