The BronxBerlinConnection 2016 Documentary – Online Premiere

,

Earlier this year the sixth delegation of young artists from Berlin traveled all the way to NYC to rock workshops with NYC youth, Hip Hop icons, concerts and so much more. The BronxBerlinConnection has been facilitating Hip Hop youth exchange between young people from Berlin and NYC since 2008.

No need to get into much detail at this point as we are incredibly proud to present this amazing documentary, „The BronxBerlinConnection 2016“ by Phil Ipp Halver.

We have to pause and recognise the folks without whom this project would´t have been possible, to Mark Naison and Stemmler Susanne who have kick stared this thing together with us, who opened many doors and who were able to get us funding just when it seemed like a trip would´t happen due to the shortness of money, to Elvira Berndt, head of Gangway and the one person who has singlehandedly kept us afloat, to Katie Belanger Wilson who has been with us since day one and who is now facilitating our sister project „Global Ambassadors“, to Fabian Farbeon Saucedo who has built this thing with us from scratch (you and your young people have been an inspiration), to Joe Conzo Jr. who has made dreams come true for all of us…

The #BronxBerlinConnection 2016 was funded by the Checkpoint Charlie Foundation / Checkpoint Charlie Stiftung and the Goethe-Institut München, Goethe-Institut New York.

To everyone who was part of it, it has ben an amazing ride. One luv!
