Was verbindet junge Menschen aus Guadeloupe und Berlin – zwei Orte, die geografisch weit auseinanderliegen und doch durch gemeinsame Fragen nach Identität, Zukunft und Zugehörigkeit verbunden sind?
Der Kurzfilm Guadeloupe2Berlin begleitet eine Gruppe junger Menschen, die sich im Laufe eines Jahres auf eine besondere Reise begeben haben: Sie besuchen sich gegenseitig in ihren Städten, tauchen in unterschiedliche Lebensrealitäten ein, erkunden neue Perspektiven und hinterfragen eigene Sichtweisen. Zwischen Straßen von Berlin und den Landschaften Guadeloupes entstehen Begegnungen, die bewegen, irritieren und inspirieren.
Im gemeinsamen kreativen Arbeiten – durch Kunst, Austausch und gelebte Erfahrungen – wachsen Verbindungen, die über kulturelle und sprachliche Grenzen hinausgehen. Der Film gibt intime Einblicke in diesen Prozess: in Momente des Ankommens und Fremdseins, des Lernens, des Lachens und des gemeinsamen Gestaltens.

What connects young people from Guadeloupe and Berlin—two places that are geographically far apart, yet linked by shared questions of identity, future, and belonging?
The short film Guadeloupe2Berlin follows a group of young people who embarked on a unique journey over the course of a year: visiting each other in their cities, immersing themselves in different realities, exploring new perspectives, and questioning their own views. Between the streets of Berlin and the landscapes of Guadeloupe, encounters emerge that move, challenge, and inspire.
Through collaborative creative work—art, exchange, and lived experience—connections grow that transcend cultural and linguistic boundaries. The film offers intimate insights into this process: moments of arrival and alienation, of learning, laughter, and creating together.
Guadeloupe2Berlin is a story about encounter, diversity, and the power of youth culture to build bridges—between continents, ways of life, and people.
