Den Haag/Kortrijck/Antwerpen – The c.i.p.h.e.r. ist in Berlin

Nachdem wir uns bereits zweimal mit der Vorbereitungsgruppe in Den Haag und Berlin getroffen haben ist es jetzt endlich soweit. Die Jugendlichen aus dem “The c.i.p.h.e.r.” Projekt sind in in Berlin und machen bereits seit Anfang der Woche die Stadt unsicher. Mit diversen Auftritten quer durch Berlin in den letzten Tagen, verbringen wir die nächsten Tage im Studio. Heute Abend stehen sie alle beim Gangway Geburtstag auf der Bühne, bevor Morgen alle wieder nachhause aufbrechen. Wir sind gerade erst in der Anfangsphase des Projekts, Die Jugendlichen kommen im April 2016 erneut in Antwerpen zusammen um weiter Musik zu machen. In der Zwischenzeit werden sie 14 tägig in virtuellen Workshops miteinander arbeiten.

After the preparatory delegation had already gotten together in Den Hague and Berlin previously we are very happy to finally be able to welcome the project participants of  “The c.i.p.h.e.r.” in Berlin. With a host of performances throughout the city within the last few days we are currently in the midst of the studio recording phase of the project. Tonight the entire group will perform at the Gangway anniversary celebration at the adidas football base in Berlin – Wedding and tomorrow everyone will make their way back home again. We are only just beginning. In April of 2016 the youth will get back together in Antwerp where they will no doubt continue to create art together. In the meantime they will continue working in virtual workshops every other week.

“The c.i.p.h.e.r.” ist ein einjähriges Programm und lebenslanges Netzwerk für Jugendliche zwischen 13 und 30 Jahren das einen internationalen, kulturellen Hip Hop Dialog führen will, um eine Gemeinschaft engagierter Künstler zusammenzuführen die, die Wurzeln, Elemente und den wahren Zweck von Hip Hop Kultur repräsentieren und ehren um sozialen Wandel zu fördern.

“The c.i.p.h.e.r”. is a yearlong program and lifelong network for youth between 13 and 30 years old that facilitates an international Hip Hop cultural dialogue to create a community of engaged artists who represent and honor the roots, elements and true purpose of Hip Hop to bring about social change.
