Das Ziel vom “FUBU Project – Communities United” ist es, Menschen aus Deutschland (Berlin) und Trinidad (Point Fortin & Port of Spain) zusammen zu bringen, die mit dem Thema Community Building befasst sind. Wir wollen uns als Gemeinschaften & communities, denen es am Herzen liegt, Dinge zum Besseren zu verändern, vereinen und ein paar Mikro-Projekte gemeinsam realisieren. Perspektivisch können wir uns auch vorstellen, dass aus dieser solidarischen Gemeinschaft größere Projekte entstehen können. Hierbei ist der Grundgedanke der starken Bündnisse leitend. Wir arbeiten interdisziplinär und nehmen die unterschiedlichsten Bereiche in den Blick. So geht es uns um soziale & künstlerische Projekte, als auch Streetball-Aktionen, politische Bildung, musikalische Angebote und Aktionen, ökologische Landwirtschaft oder ggf. auch kleine Bauvorhaben. Wir werden unsere KRÄFTE bündeln um somit gesellschaftiche Realitäten zum Besseren zu verändern.

Das Ganze findet durch uns & für uns statt. Der Name ist Programm: For Us, By Us – FUBU.

Alles mit der Ausrichtung auf COMMUNITY.

Unsere erste Begegnung fand im Oktober 2016 in Trinidad statt & ist in diesem Video abgebildet. Da unser Ziel eine langfristige Partnerschaft ist arbeiten wir derweil daran, dass es weitergeht … Haltet die Augen offen!

The FUBU Project has the idea and approach of “community building” as its main focus. We will bring together people from Berlin and from Point Fortin & Port of Spain who are all engaged & involved in building positive things for communities. We want to bring together our ideas, experiences and reflections of our work & from there develop good and sustainable ideas and projects together. Our approach is interdisciplinary as we are focussing on different anggles of community work – within this partnership. We will use social & cultural projects, as well as Basketball activities, political education, musical offerings or agricultural work as tool for community building. We will join our forces together to see what we could build together to bring up some positive impact for the betterment of the society and the world.

The Name is programmatic: Everything is done For Us & By Us.

And everything is focussed on COMMUNITY.

Our first exchange took place in trinidad in October 2016 and is shown in this video. Since our aim is to have a longlasting partnership, we are working on ways how this could work out … keep your eyes open!
